(the story)
true north was originally meant to be a story about loss and grief and moving on
after something horrible happens. it's evolving, however, much like life does.
it's not meant to be sad or funny. but isn't it like life to surprise us?
the characters in the book are loosely based on characters developed by my group
of friends. aleks' relationships with other characters in the book draw from the
people in my life. i have to say, however, some of them are blown way out of
proportion.
this book is dedicated to those that i've lost, and, more so, those that have lost
mothers or fathers, sisters or brothers, friends or lovers, or anyone that's dealt
with losing something they love and having to get on with life again.
this is my story, i hope you enjoy it...
(the music)
you may notice song titles accompanying the pages. these are songs i feel really
set the mood for the page. they'll help convey the feeling i'm trying to get
across. they are by no means necessary to understand the story, just think of it
like a soundtrack.
